Reach for the Pie
The original plot involved Kenneth More as Douglas Bader, a man who loses both legs in an aircraft accident. With the loss of his career, he turns to baking, but discovers that his assistant has put the finished pies just beyond his reach when it comes to serving time. The final cut removed the bakery plot entirely to see Bader return to his fighter pilot roots.
