The Chronicles of Narnia: The Pie and the Witch in the Wardrobe
The original plot involved four kids who play hide and seek at their uncle's house. The end up locking themselves in a wardrobe for a few days, and have to survive by eating a pie and a dead witch they found in there. The final cut turned the wardrobe into a gateway into a magical realm, replace the pie with a lion, and brought the witch back to life as an antagonist.
