To use the barcode generator, you must first check the number of digits on the barcode.
If there are 8 digits, set the EAN value to 8 and enter the data into the generator by typing all eight digits into the text box below the barcode.
If there are 10 digits, set the EAN value to 13. Look for two numbers either side of the barcode, and enter them into the text box below the barcode as though they were the first and last digits of a 12 digit code.
If there are 12 digits, set the EAN value to 13 and enter the data into the generator by typing all twelve digits into the text box below the barcode.
If there are 13 digits, set the EAN value to 13, enter the digit outside the barcode into the small text box, make sure the "Fix" checkbox is checked and enter the remaining twelve digits into the text box below the barcode.
You have the option to "Fix" the 0th digit when entering EAN 13 values, so if you wanted to keep this at a specified value, the final digit of the barcode is adjusted to compensate.
Next press the "Create" button.
Since we are no longer using JavaScript to make the barcodes, it is now possible to copy and paste it quite easily from this page into most graphic editors and documents.
PLEASE NOTE! The test facility may give false results as our research is incomplete. If you encounter an incorrect interpretation, email us with the EAN13 data you used.
